Senior .NET Developer/Team Lead

We are currently recruiting for a client based in Leeds city centre they are looking for a principle engineer/.NET team leader.

The client is looking for somebody that has experience in;

  • Technical Leadership. To provide a strong technical leadership of the Product team. Be an active member of the Product Leadership Team providing consistent day to day technical leadership of the Engineers within the team.
  • Product knowledge. Be recognised as an expert in the product. Actively contribute to the product roadmap, technical roadmap and product problem solving.
  • Technical coaching. Support and motivate the Engineers within the team providing a strong technical role model in all aspects of engineering delivery.
  • Technical Expertise. Be an active member of the product team and the wider Delivery team. Be recognised as a technical expert in your field of engineering practice. Ensure the Community of Practice for your discipline is well run and owns the engineering practice, standards and documentation, ensuring alignment to method.
  • Driving Product Team performance. Ensure that every team member has all they need (skills, knowledge and understanding) to get the job done within the time box. Is proactive in the resolution or escalation of any issues that may impede team delivery.
  • Know the people in the team. Provide feedback, to the appropriate line manager, on members of the Product Team to assist in their personal and professional development.
  • Recruitment. Provide a strong technical leadership to the recruitment process assisting the Product Development Manager in selecting the best candidates.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience in a Software Development role (Microsoft Stack - C#, SQL Server 2008+).
  • Good OOD knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience from delivering Back End development and business logic.
  • Knowledge and experience from delivering Front End web development projects.
  • Knowledge and experience from working with Web services (JSON//SOAP/XML).
  • Proven to have helped deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Good communication skills on both a technical and none technical level.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of T-SQL Scripting language
  • Experience with MVC 3+
  • Experience with Google Web Toolkit (Java/Eclipse)
  • Knowledge/Experience with Agile (iterative) development practices
  • Knowledge/Experience with TDD/BDD development techniques
