3RD LINE MIDDLEWARE INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST - CONNECT:DIRECT OR STIRLING INTEGRATOR OR SME IN FILE TRANSFER TECHNOLOGIES - CHESHIRE - £50-55k

Our Client, a leading financial services company, based in Cheshire is seeking a Middleware Infrastructure Specialist with either experience in Connect:Direct, Stirling Integrator or an SME in another File Transfer technology.

Main function of the role
The vacancy is for a technical infrastructure specialist, providing 3rd line and SME support to the File Transfer environment, primarily supporting Connect:Direct and Sterling file gateway technologies.

Day to day accountabilities
* Represent the Middleware platform by operating as Middleware Technical Lead, providing key input into technical designs for a variety of projects.
* Once mobilised the Technical Lead will manage and resource the build, test and implementation phases into the live environment.
* In addition this role will provide SME and 3rd level support for Sterling Integrator and Connect:Direct technologies
* The implementation of all changes to the components of a live infrastructure, from request for change or project initiation through to deployment and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and risk compliance of the infrastructure.
* To pro-actively maintain or enhance computer systems/infrastructure components and services, maximising use of available resources to ensure that business objectives are met and deliverables achieved to agreed timescale, budget and quality

Skills required (One of the following)
* In depth experience of working in a 2nd/3rd line IT support or project delivery environment (ideally previous experience within Middleware, JAVA or related technology
* Skilled in incident, problem and change management - ITIL accreditation preferred
* Analytical ability including root cause identification and pro-active service improvement
* Change Management/Project build, test and implementation of Middleware/JAVA or Web services components

You must have one of the following
* Connect Direct, (Connect Direct installation and configuration on Unix, Mainframe or Windows), Secure+, SSL encryption and certificate management)
* Sterling Integrator (Sterling Integrator, SI/GIS clustering and Perimeter Servers (DMZ/network experience etc), Administration of SI/GIS (property files, starting stopping etc, SI/GIS Connect Direct adapters
* Recognised SME in another File Transfer technology.
